Molly Atkinson

Molly Atkinson

Molly is an Educational Research and Knowledge Exchange Officer working with Gemma Goldenberg on the Outdoor Learning project.  She is also working with Newham Learning to develop and evaluate training tools for class teachers based on findings from the Outdoor Learning Project. Molly’s background is in Clinical Developmental Psychology. Prior to starting with the Baby Development Lab at UEL, Molly worked in the NHS with a national and specialist CAMHS Autism service based at the Maudsley Hospital in London. Before this, Molly worked as a SEN specialist in mainstream primary schools in south London supporting children with Autism and their class teachers. Prior to moving into clinical and educational settings, Molly worked in developmental research. Her interest in Autism stemmed from working at the Lab for Infant and Toddler Language at Emerson College in Boston, USA. There she investigated the role of social attention and eye gaze in the language acquisition of toddlers with Autism. Molly gained both her MSc in Applied Clinical Psychology and her BSc in Applied Psychology from the University of Bath.
