Sharon Cretì

My name is Sharon Cretì and I am doing a six-month internship at the UEL BabyDevLab. Prior to this, I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences at the University of Pavia and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at University of Pavia. My Master’s thesis discussed the problem of personal identity, specifically the role of cocaine in maintaining personal identity in post-modern society by using a cognitive neuropsychological psychotherapy approach.

During my studies I worked in Italy as a teacher at a nursery with children age between 3 and 5 years old, and at a primary school with children age between 6 and 10 years old. I consider that a very important and satisfying educational experience because I developed a considerable interest in childhood and in developmental psychology.

Following the internship, I’m planning to take the Italian State Exam to become a qualified psychologist, as well as continuing my studies for a postgraduate specialisation in cognitive neuropsychological psychotherapy.
